[GAME_PREVIEW]

Big Dill on the mic — Seattle rolls into Landover with swagger (they’re 4-1) and Washington is scraping for answers at 1-4. This smells like a classic ‘hot offense vs. troubled home team’ Monday night. The biggest headline? As of now Jayden Daniels’ availability is up in the air coming off a hamstring issue, which could leave the Commanders leaning on backup reps and schematic crutches. 

If the Commanders get a break, they at least have weapons — Deebo Samuel and Terry McLaurin have been moving back toward game action and can change a short field in a hurry when healthy. Seattle’s defense can’t totally sleep on those matchup guys, but Washington’s inconsistent QB play (or another Mariota cameo) makes sustaining long drives a tall task. Expect Washington to try to manufacture chunk plays and lean on the ground game when possible. 

Seattle’s offense has been steady under Sam Darnold — dink-and-drive efficiency with a pop-run from Kenneth Walker III — and they’ll want to exploit a Commanders defense that’s let teams back into games. On the flip, the Seahawks have their own bumps: injuries and limited practice designations have shown up on Seattle’s report (watch for Zach Charbonnet, Jaxon Smith-Njigba and availability notes on the back end). Those health questions make this less of a blowout and more of a controlled, tactical affair. 

Big Dill’s takeaway: if Daniels can’t go, Washington’s upside evaporates and Seattle grinds out a road win; if he plays, this tilts back toward a tight, swingy game where a single turnover or splash play decides it. I’m leaning Seahawks — they’re the cleaner unit now — but don’t be surprised if Washington hangs around late.
